Métis Students of USask student group is a separate and independent organization from Local 126, and they participate in Local 126 Council meetings as a representative council to ensure that the voice of students is heard as a part of decision making. Please note that the relationship with this representative council is governed by a Memorandum of Understanding with the Métis Students of USask student group.

About
The Métis Students of USask (MSU) is a student group dedicated to the promotion and protection of Métis culture and rights at the University of Saskatchewan. The MSU seeks to create a safe space through which Métis students will enhance or maintain their connection to their culture. The MSU offers various social, economic, cultural, and leadership opportunities to advance the goals of Métis students. The MSU seeks to create a strong community of Métis students at the University of Saskatchewan.

Is there a membership fee?
Nope! Joining the MSU is completely free. We believe in creating accessible opportunities for students to connect and engage.
Who runs the MSU?
The MSU is managed by a student executive team and is ratified under USSU. Positions include President, Vice-Presidents, Secretary, and more. Elections are held annually, and all Métis members can vote or run.
Can I suggest an event?
Absolutely! We’re always open to ideas. If you have a cultural practice, skill, or topic you’d like to share or just want to suggest something fun talk to our executive team!
